BAE Systems named RateMyApprenticeship's Top Employer 2018-19

It’s a busy week for our school leaver side of the business. We’ve launched research revealing the seven building blocks companies need to run successful apprenticeship programmes, as well as announcing RateMyApprenticeship’s official Top 100 Employers 2018-19!

This exclusive table is based solely on reviews submitted by apprentices on RateMyApprenticeship.co.uk between June 2017 and May 2018, highlighting the creme-de-la-creme of apprenticeship employers in the UK.

A huge congratulations to BAE Systems, who has been named the winner of this year’s table and crowned RateMyApprenticeship’s Top Employer 2018-19

Mark Pritchard, Early Careers Recruitment Manager at BAE Systems said,

"We are incredibly humbled to be named the top apprenticeship employer in the UK by RateMyApprenticeship, especially as it’s based exclusively on the experiences and feedback of our own apprentices.

"We are extremely invested in our apprenticeship programme at BAE Systems. We have a lot of support from the top down, with several of the company’s senior directors starting off as apprentices themselves. We are proud to be rated as Ofsted Outstanding as a trainer, and we provide multiple opportunities for apprentices to develop their skills in areas such as teamwork, confidence building and outward thinking.

"As noted in RateMyApprenticeship’s recent research, we believe it’s important to pay our apprentices a competitive wage. We support this further by running finance courses to help our apprentices learn how to manage their money and develop their budgeting skills. We also provide mentors and buddies for apprentices so they are supported from the very first moment they join our programme."

Through their reviews, BAE Systems demonstrate an all-encompassing approach to apprenticeships. They ensure that their apprentices are challenged and given the ability to grow, whilst being closely supported by mentors and a community of fellow apprentices.
