Winners of the 10th National Undergraduate Employability Awards!
Here at RMP Enterprise, we’re over the moon after the huge success of the National Undergraduate Employability Awards’ 10th anniversary!
Taking place at etc.venues in Bishopsgate, London, this year’s event saw 500 people come together to celebrate the outstanding achievements of employers, universities and students in the field of undergraduate work experience.
It was a day of talks from inspiring speakers - punctuated by glasses of Prosecco and cupcakes in RMP’s trademark pink - featuring Stephen Isherwood, Chief Executive of the Institute of Student Employers (ISE) and Robyn Howard from our headline partner PwC.
The audience was also treated to an NUE Awards first; a panel discussion with four students from across the UK, who each gave us a unique insight into their personal experience with finding and applying for placements and internships.
For the jewel in our crown, guest speaker Col. Dame Kelly Holmes DBE took to the stage to deliver a motivational speech that encouraged us all to dig deep and never give up on our goals. It was clear from the hushed silence that the double olympic gold medallist had the whole room hanging on her every word!
We topped off the day by handing out 17 Awards to those employers, universities and students who have gone above and beyond in their respective categories.
Winners included Accenture for the Best Recruitment Marketing Campaign and Civil Service Fast Stream & Early Talent, who walked away with the Award for Best Diversity Initiative in Work Experience. Their amazing scheme, which tailors internships for autistic students, has already resulted in one in four interns finding employment. Top work!
A big congratulations also goes to Bloomberg, who nabbed the #1 spot in the Top 100 Undergraduate Employers Table. This was based solely on reviews submitted to RateMyPlacement.co.uk by students who have done placements and internships themselves.
