Work Ready Virtual Experience Launches for School & College Students

Millions of students returned to school or college earlier this month - after almost six months out of education.

These students have missed out on face-to-face teaching, socialising with friends and countless packed lunches. But they’ve also missed out on crucial opportunities to gain experience in the workplace.

Which is why our mission at RMP, to inspire young people to take the first steps in their career, has never been more important...

Back in April, we designed a virtual work experience programme to help university students develop their ‘work-readiness’ skills during the coronavirus lockdown.

The realm of virtual work experience was unchartered territory for us, so we’re on cloud nine after the overwhelming response it received! Over 7,000 students (from 400+ universities around the world) have taken part in the programme so far, rating it an average of 4.52/5.

Here’s what one satisfied student had to say about the programme…

"I really enjoyed this virtual internship. I feel I have learnt many valuable skills as well as tips and tricks to improve my internship and job opportunities. I have also gained more confidence after being encouraged to rethink how I approach tasks and difficult situations. The tasks were genuinely helpful and will continue to help me in the future."

Following this resounding success, we’re chuffed to be launching a
Work Ready Virtual Experience for the schools market, in partnership with Development Beyond Learning and Forage (formerly InsideSherpa).

The self-paced programme is free for ALL school and college students, and consists of three modules: Wellbeing and Resilience, Virtual First Impressions and Virtual Networking.

Oliver Sidwell, Co-founder of RMP, comments, “We are delighted to work with Development Beyond Learning and Forage to offer a range of free virtual experiences to students during COVID-19 lockdown. The experiences are designed to arm all students specifically with the work-readiness skills that will help them to navigate these challenging times.”

Students can register for our Work Ready Virtual Experience by visiting the landing page here.
